Sermon Summary: Matthew 6:21 by Fr. Suriel Hanna

The following is a written summary of a sermon initially delivered by Fr. Suriel Hanna.

“Where your treasure is there your heart will be also.” - Matthew 6:21

When you have something against someone:

  1. Pray about it and leave it in the hands of the Lord.

  2. God will put you in a position where you’re able to reconcile with them.

  • Strength is through the Lord - “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

  • What we receive in prayer, we can share with others.

  • We are so blessed to partake of the Body and Blood of Christ.

  • What we take from this sermon, we need to share with other people.

  • We are candles shining in Cairns. The light we shine isn’t our own, but of the Lord.

  • When you’re given the opportunity to help others, take it and don’t wait for the result of your works.

  • Leave the imprint of Christ in the hearts of those whom God causes you to encounter.
